Rauðr means "very red" in norrœnt (Old Norse), and the name couldn't be better suited for a mead that is, well, Blood red. With every drink, you are reminded of Úlfhéðnar blood. Pretty awesome really.
Besides looking beyond badass, this mead is very special. It contains a honey base, obviously, but also bilberries, cloudberries and juniper berries, as well as a few secret ingredients. It isn't like we'd need anything else to make Úlfhéðnablóð even more awesome, but the yeast we use is from a base that is several hundred years old... Just sayin'... Alcohol content you may ask? 20%.
No, this isn't the Jötunn secret mead we Úlfhéðnar consume during rituals, but it is as close as you'll ever get, unless you become one of us of course.
